We heard about case handyman from our neighbor. They had used them to install some windows and were happy with the experience. Wow, talk about night and day.
We contacted case about installing some tile for the kitchen backlash and putting in a new front door. The initial meeting went well. We met with the contractor and the designer ($250 fee). Once we agreed on the style, the contractor was going to go back to his office and run some numbers and send us a quote for the job. After a week of silence, we emailed the contractor. No response. We then called them and left a message. No response. We finally received a follow up email from them 3 weeks later indicating that they had to mail us the quote (instead of email it). Well, we never received anything in the mail. We then called Case headquarters and asked to speak with the manager. They assured us that our contractor would contact us over the phone and would present us with the estimate. Finally, after about 3 months of back and forth, we finally received the quote.
Based on the horrible experience that we had getting the quote, we will NOT be using case handyman for anything in the future. If emailing a quote for a job is so difficult and time consuming, I can only imagine how frustrating the experience would be if we actually used them to install the kitchen back splash and front door.
