Don't go there for the ambience; it's just excellent, unpretentious, top-notch fish and chips. One thing is that their batter is the cripiest, thinnest most delicious you can find, there's no soggy underlayer that you often get when the batter is too thick and not cooked properly. The cod is the thickest cuts around, well filleted, with huge flakes of white fish melting in the mouth.
