I was making plans to meet an old friend for dinner this past Wednesday and was looking to try someplace new. I chose Casa Nonna based on some research.\r
Everything about our dining experience was fantastic. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated and the staff is incredibly friendly and professional.\r
We started with a cocktail at the bar. The restaurant has an extensive and interesting wine list and beer list. There were a number of beers from Italy that I had never tried before. The bartender recommended the Almond 22 “Farrotta” which was fantastic.\r
For appetizers, we ordered the Polipo (grilled octopus salad) and an order of rice balls. The restaurant also sent over a complementary order of meatballs. All of these dishes were excellent. For dinner, my friend chose the Gnocchi Di Zucca and I had the Pici Alla Toscana. We also shared a side of Broccoli Rabe, which had just the right amount of spice to it. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the ragu was absolutely delicious. Finally we shared an order of the sugar doughnuts for dessert. The waitress also surprised us with two glassed of prosecco.\r
The way this restaurant is run and the quality of the food and the staff should be a model for anyone looking to open a restaurant. I will definitely be dining here again.
