Caruso's is probably the best Italian Restaurant in town. The food is unbeatable, the prices fair, the atmosphere can be romantic or family friendly and the the wait staff is usually very attentive. It is locally owned by the Caruso family, who have been in business there for 40 years. My husband's brothers and sisters used to play with the Curuso children when they were little, outside the restaurant, 40 years ago. You can not go wrong with any of the food, it is all delicious. Our favorites include the Manicotti and Cannelloni dinner, the wood-fired pizzas and the chicken Parmesan. They bring warm bread upon your arrival. The front of the restaurant is on Fourth Avenue, a local hot spot for the eclectic of Tucson, so watch out for panhandlers. They are usually nice but will ask your for money. Once in the fences of the restaurant, there is a beautiful fountain and garden, as well as seating for those who are waiting. There is also seating available for those waiting for a table inside too. The restaurant, I believe, was an old house, so it is separated into separate rooms. Each one has a different ambiance. If the weather is nice, be sure to sit outside in the garden, it is truly beautiful.
