Looks can be decieving 9/2/2010

I stayed there for 2 weeks and I agree it looks a mess but all and all it was very pleasant experience. when I travel, I pack everything I thing I may need like soaps, shampoo and towels, just in case. The staff was very nice and did accomodate me. The weekends are extremely busy. The hotel is old and the wall are a little thin. However, I would stay there again close to family and friend. It was clean and the staff gave me what I needed and at the end of the day that is all that is needed and there is no prostitution ring or drugs going on there. LOL. Looks can be deceiving.... more

The Closest Place to My Family 12/2/2008

This is the closest place to my family. My husband and I stay here every time the two of us visit my family (which is about 3 times a year). I agree that it looks horrible, but I have yet to encounter anything that would make me think twice about staying. It is not the best in accommodations, but we make concessions in order to be 10 minutes from our family. more

No where Else to go ---MAYBE 5/10/2005

The only way that I would EVER stay here was if I had absolutely nowhere else to go. I have never stay there personally but just from the looks of it I'd be scared of what I might find crawling aroung in my room if I did. more

Roach Motel 4/25/2005

I personally have never stayed or never will stay in the Carthage Inn. Just passing by there makes me CRINGE. On the weekends that place is so busy, that there has to be some prostitution or drug dealing going on. Its pitiful more
