Our party of 4 enjoyed the wine, music and atmosphere in the garden at Carriage House. As for the food, overall, I would have rated it average. However, when the pork chop entree was presented to my husband, he immediately detected a foul odor. The rest of us agreed that it smelled very unpleasant. He then took a bite to be sure and quickly took it out of his mouth. We notified the server of the problem who, apologetically, took the entree back to the kitchen. She returned to tell us that, yes, according to the chef who sampled the questionable pork, the meat was spoiled. As strong as the odor was, this should have been detected when the meat was removed from the package. There was no compensation offered for our unfortunate experience...just a verbal apology. So, while the rest of us reluctantly finished our meal, my husband simply ate a salad. Our experience at Carriage House was disappointing.
Pros: Nice atmosphere in the garden
Cons: Spoiled pork
