Top quality repairs and excellent prices!!! 8/13/2012

My wife and I are die hard Honda owners, we currently own a 2002 Odyssey and a 2009 Accord. We had problems with the Odyssey transmission we brought it to Carmen's he checked it out for free and explained the whole problem in detail that the transmission in that year was problematic and it was senseless to put in a junk yard trans only to have it go bad so he recommended a completely rebuilt transmission with warranty and upgrade preventing the problem from happening again 120 k later still shifting fine thanks to his honesty. I would recommend EVERY Honda and Acura owner to service their vehicles at Carmen's, if they want affordability, honesty, and excellent customer loyalty! more

4 older Honda cars repaired competently for eight years! 4/3/2012

My family owns four older model Honda cars. We have used Carmen's Honda Service for eight years, with no regrets. The competency and integrity of this shop exceeds anything in my fifty years of owning cars. In our eight years with Carmen: no break-downs, no towing, never failed to start = peace of mind. The care and competence of this shop cannot be beat! WH, Cranford, NJ more

Carmen Honda is the best 3/26/2011

I had a flickering headlight on my Acura TSX. I took my car to the Acura Dealer and they said I needed to change the igniter & Control unit and the charge was $933+tax. I went on line and looked for someone that works on Acura's and I found this shop.I called them and told them what parts the dealer said needed replacement and they said parts and labor would be about $600. So I said to myself that's better than paying the $1000.00. So they removed the bumper and replaced the 2 parts the dealer said were the problem but the flickering didn't stop. Now what? They said, let's try the bulb and sure enough, it was the bulb and not those parts the dealer was talking about. Ps. The dealer had said that they had checked the bulb and it wasn't it!! Carmen took the new parts out and put back the original parts plus his bulb and the headlight worked! I saved alot of money which i didn't have in the first place. If there is a 10 for rating, I would give this guys a 10! Seriously, I will never ever trust Car Dealers again! They are ripoffs. If you have a problem with your Honda or Acura, do not hesitate to call up these guys and make an appt! They are unbelievable and great customer service! GO CARMEN HONDA of Cranford. You are the best! more

FAST RELIABLE SERVICE 2/28/2011

When my mechanic died, I was at loose ends for a good mechanic who knew Hondas. Someone I worked with told me that she and her husband had been going to Carmen's for almost 20 years and were always given excellent service. I tried him and now 18months later, I can tell you that I am extremely satisfied! Carmen knows Hondas! He's fair and he's fast! And he's a nice guy, too! Highly recommended! more

No Responsibility 2/14/2011

On Jan 2011 I had a transmission flush done on my vehicle which I believe Carmen performed. Then in Feb 2011, I went back to have my oil changed and power steering fluid flushed. Like any good trained mechanic, the young kid came back to me and told me other work that I needed along with that the Tranmission Fluid was low. I said really!!! I just did it here last month. Then the cute young lady in the front researched it on the computer and saw I did and said, "yeah", and yells in the back, "but he put 2000 miles on it since the last service." Excuse me but what does having put x amount of miles on a car do to the transmission fluid after 1 month?? How can it be low?? then she say, "well..... we will put it in the car this time for free" - as if she was doing me a favor....and that they didn't short change me last month. Then I asked the mechanic as he pulled my car up and out, "hey can I ask you something is it common for transmission fluid to drop after 2000 miles of driving. He just stood there and nodded yes a few times and then walked away. I got in my car and drove home. . You can't trust anyone these days. Little things like this make good paying customers walk away. more

Best Place for Honda or Acura 1/24/2011

Extremely honest, reliable & helpful ~ could charge a lot more than he does! We've had problems with our Honda Odyssey several times & were quoted hundrdeds more by Honda & other local recommended garages. Carmen will tell you "all that you SHOULD do" /will have to do "down the line" & give you very fair estimates ,but will not try to force you to do more than you need to/can afford to do. He has helped me out in emergency situations by taking my car on the spot & is also very patient with a friendly staff. He is the place to do for Honda's & Acura's. more

Got a Honda, Just take it to Carmen 1/16/2010

Good: Honesty. They dont rip you off. My 170K accord developed emission related checkengine light. After getting frustrated with various shops I replaced the EGR etc myself, and nothing worked. Went to Carmen's finally and all check engine issues were fixed under 100$. Ok, I had replaced some parts myself before, but neverthless, they were honest to the core and are not looking to rip you off like most others.. Improvements: Hours. I wish they had one day in a week that they worked from noon to 8:00 pm.. Other: Keep it up.. more
