Disappointing experience 8/7/2017

Bus was an hour late coming into reading pa. The rude girl working there was annoyed when asked if there was a problem. The bus driver never explained or apologized why she was late and she talked to the woman sitting behind the entire 45 min to destination more

Disappointed 12/19/2015

I am a mother to a 4 month old baby for the past 4 months I have been taking the bieber bus back and forth from reading to New York never had a driver charged me money for my baby even if the bus was full. However today 12/19/15 at the 9am bus towards New York an African American have said to me in a disrespectful manner " that either I carry my baby the entire 4 hour ride to New York or To buy another ticket . And that this bus , either ride or get off." I never felt so disrespected more

Great way to get to the city and back. 11/12/2013

After reading some of the other reviews for Bieber Bus on here, I felt the need to write one myself. I've taken this bus a few times to NYC and I have no complaints. The price was comparable to every other bus depot in the area. The buses were decent, not emaculate, but exactly what you would expect from a commuter bus. The drivers were friendly and courteous. And the schedules were prompt. If you are looking for a bus to get you to the city quickly, safely, and for a decent price, I would recommend Bieber. If you are looking to get to the city in style, with leather seats, wifi, gold trim and caviar, then no Bieber is not the bus for you. Bieber is exactly what it advertises to be: a public commuter bus. more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE 7/16/2013

The Bieber bus is a huge rip-off. Because it is the only bus service that runs from the Reading area to NYC, they can and do charge an exorbitant amount of money. The current rate is a $61 round trip ticket. I can get a bus from NYC to Philadelphia, a distance that is very close, for only $21 round trip. Not to mention that any other bus service has free wi-fi on the busses and outlets for charging cell phones and computers. The three hour trip is usually made longer by excessive idling periods at the Kutztown and Wescosville stops. The drivers are erratic, and several times I have showed up for a scheduled bus 10 to 15 minutes early, only to find that that bus had already left. Under no circumstances is this acceptable. I would give this company a zero if that were an option. more

Not neighborhood friendly 4/26/2013

The excessive idling of the buses in the residential area where the facility is located has been an issue for many years. By excessive, 10 to 30 minutes before the driver(s) moves the bus prior to a trip. The noise & the air are unbearable. Management doesn't seem to think this is a problem nor or they willing to work with residents. The morning departures begin approximately at 0400 hours during the week. These buses are parked 13' to 50' from a private residence. When the resident suggested switching the early morning departure buses with later in the day departures with management the reply was one of arrogance & too bad. Follow through & compliance are not one of this company's strong points. more

The end of a long relationship 4/2/2013

We have used Bieber for over 20 years to travel to and from NYC without worrying about parking. We drive to Wescosville, park and leave our car at the terminal. Until recently, it has been a satisfactory arrangement. Two weeks ago, we waited in line for the 1PM bus from Port Authority for over an hour to get good seats together. We were sixth in line. Apparently there were over 60 in the line when it was time to depart so drivers divided us into two buses according to our end destination. After each bus had more than 30 occupants, the dispatcher decided there would only be one bus leaving at that time and 30 people on our bus were told to either be seated or stand on the other nearly-full bus or wait 2 hours for the next bus. By the time our bus emptied, the aisles on the other bus were full of elderly people who would have to stand for two hours. No seats and almost no room in the aisle, we stayed at Port Authority for another two hours. I have knee and back problems and the idea of standing for two hours on a moving bus (let alone if there were an accident) was horrifying to us. We waited, standing in line again for over an hour. There were two others who also waited and the bus driver did make sure we were at the head of the line when boarding. It was a very long and frustrating afternoon, made worse by the fact that we did everything right to be on that first bus. Incidentally, once they filled our bus at 3PM, they put 11 people on a second bus at 3PM. They didn't have to wait another 2 hours. Clearly, the decision to insist on one bus at 1PM with a second bus nearly full was not about economics or scheduling conflicts. We wrote a letter to the VP/General Manager asking for an explanation as to this decision but, after two weeks, we have heard nothing. A few other unpleasant incidents on the commuter buses have made us decide that Bieber doesn't care about its passengers' welfare. We will certainly not be traveling with this company in the future. Safety is not a priority for them. more

Poor service 1/24/2013

The bus I took into NYC today was pulled over by NJ State Police. The driver was charged with speeding (80 mph) and delaying traffic (riding in the left lane). We were stopped for at least 10 minutes and received no apology from the driver. The driver wa also rude to a women with a crying baby asking her to sign him a lullaby or something. Did he really think she enjoyed her son's crying? I have been loyal to Bieber but am now thinking of switching to transbridge. more

Scary Situation!!!!! 1/7/2013

If I could give this bus company a 0 rating instead of a 1, I would. My experiences have been negative. Many years ago I filed a complaint with the company when a bus driver was driving erratically and displayed road rage towards other drivers. I hadn't used their company since then until very recently. Just yesterday, coming back from a NY trip, the bus, which some of them seem pretty old and worn, caught fire. The worst part of it, the bus driver got off the bus, but never told us or helped us get off the bus. We started to disembark ourselves and when one of the passengers realized the flames were coming out of the back rear started to yell and I began to yell "move it fast" to the rest of the passengers. Was afraid if the fire hit the gas, it could have exploded. It was a horrible stressful experience. We were left to fend for ourselves. NEVER will use this bus service again. They seem to put financial gains first instead of safety. more

Worst costumer service ever 11/11/2012

They have the worst costumer service I have ever had to deal with. Arrived 30 before the bus was to leave. Ticket lady didn't get there until 7today minutes before the bus left. Cash only that day but no signs stating this. She said she would hold the bus if I run to the ATM down the street. When I came back bus was gone lady looked at me and walked into the employee building without explaining what had happened more

Warning!!!!!!!Do Not Buy Commuter Books 9/18/2012

Poor Customer Service! This company loves to rip off and fleece their customers! They claim a 10% surcharge on any ticket refund and then pull some BS math calculation where you end up not getting a refund and they try to justify it stating "it was a reduced rate". It's pathetic because the are constantly raising fare rates and then creatively find ways to keeps your money on a service that you paid for. Beware!!!!!!!! more

Some Bieber Bus drivers SUCK--bad attitude! 11/26/2006

Yeah, I agree with Rodney's review. I had NUMEROUS experiences with unfriendly drivers. On two different occasions, i had two completely different drivers be extremely rude to me and complain about my NORMAL size suitcase which there was SO MUCH room for in the bottom. I was moving to NYC. They suggested I drive my car---i was floored that they said that to me. I do'nt have a car!! That is why I'm on the bus! And I PAID for my ticket, I'm a customer. One guys said "get a moving van". I can't pay for a moving van, that is why i am on the bus! They are complaining about handling my suitcase (and its ONE suitcase) just for those two seconds when they load it. What about me? I'm luggin that thing all over NYC on the subway and out on the streets. Geez. One time when I lost my cell phone, I was told at NYC's port authority that I could go to where the buses were parked and knock on the doors to ask any bieber drivers if my phone was there. (and I knew I left my phone on a bus for SURE). I knocked on the door and the driver waved me off and wouldn't open the door to let me even explain that I called BIEBER themselves and they were the ones who told me to go knock on the doors! He wouldn't even give me the time of day---and losing a cell phone when you are working in NYC and you are a free lance artist with millions of phone #'s in your phone is not a good thing! Not every driver was rude, I've had some nice ones. However, there were more bad experiences with rude jerks there than anything else. Do'nt put yourself through the gamble of if you will get a good or bad driver. Just find something else. other than that, yes they are on time---sometimes they leave early though! that is annoying. I wish there was something else. no one likes to deal with a driver with a bad attitude. (watch out for bus driver on bus # 538, a real jerk) more

This bus is NOT the way to go! 11/2/2006

After experiencing the poor attitude of the the three bus drivers and the lack of customer service they provided, I will never take this bus line again. There are many others to chose from, my suggestion is to find another bus line that has friendly bus drivers and willing to help with any information. more

No other way to go to NYC 9/18/2005

Highly recommend taking this bus to NYC. Friendly service and very convenient to NYC. Buses run every 2 hours and are on time. Very reasonably priced and clean buses. Never had a problem. Several pick up areas and very convenient parking at the Wescosville pick up. Round trip available and flexible times going and returning. more
