RATed #1 in Customer Dissatisfaction - guaranteed 7/6/2013

So we were "called in" for a recall on my Honda FIT 2008, when I asked why I did not get an official notice in the mail, I was told my address is different...thing is I only have had one address since buying that car and got all my previous notices there from Honda. So got there and the service tech walked up said nary a word no greeting, no explanations. I had to be the courteous one. Waited 2 hrs to see another service rep wildly waving at my son, to come out to the car, we all did at which point he waved us to the car and said it is ready. He walked off before I had time to ask for the paperwork on what was done on the recall. Since both Serv ppls were rude and discourteous I believe it must be the culture of dealership. I don't recommend them to anyone. In fact its possibly the culture of Honda US since I had similar problems with the Honda dealer on Sattelite, only they actually stole my 4 tyres after doing only 25000 mls, and replaced them with threaded tyres then told me I neede more

Took my 2008 Honda Civic in because of a catastrophic acceleration problem; suggested to the service guy that it might be something in the transmission or engine. My husband is a former mechanic so we're not idiots when it comes to cars. They called me the next day and told me "This is what we found so far ... you need new front brakes, new spark plugs, a top end induction cleaning and a new cabin air filter at a cost of $1,100". We questioned them because none of these things had anything to do with the problem we were having; the reply was "well, we'll fix this stuff and then keep looking". Really? Told them to put the car back together and we would have a tow truck pick it up. Took it to another dealership, who immediately read the engine code and found that we had lost compression on the #3 cylinder. Turned out we had a broken valve in the engine. The other dealership fixed it for us, did a great job and treated us right. Bottom line ... I hate to think how much money these guys wo more

I visited your service department 1/16/13 and the service man informed me I needed $820 worth of services including front and back brakes he stressed that the bad brakes were worse than the front and needed to be repaired he offered me 30% off if I got them done that week I set up an appointment for that Saturday, however I could not make it and canceled, I returned today 2/19/13 to have back brakes repair that your service advisers stressed were in need of repair and said it would be $239 just for the back, when I went today I talk with a different adviser and my cost was $179 I asked why he explained why and I do appreciate his explanation (some of your adviser are honest I think) so I left my car and a nice gentleman gave me a shuttle ride, about 20 minutes later service guy call to let me know ""Ms Allen your brakes are fine I don't know who told you that you needed brakes and your back brakes are actually better than the front, but you need tires. I am upset, I believe that your department was going to give me a service I did not need, had I taken the offer on 1/16/13 you would have been giving me brakes I did not need and I am furious, I have been in GA 4 years and one of the hardest service provider to find is a HONEST mechanic, I did speak with the asst manager however he made the situation worse he protected dishonesty ,I will not visit your department ever again and I pray Carey Paul will investigate and hire honest mechanics. more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! After wasting three hours of my time here on a Saturday afternoon they sold me a car that had been in an accident, after I repeatedly asked the salesmen THREE times for the CARFAX, he kept saying he would get it and never did. These guys are crooks and liars, all they want is a quick sale. The salesmen and mangers could careless about providing customer service or you. On the bright side they have the car they sold me sitting back on their lot. Stay away! more

Excellent experience buying a car! 12/31/2011

We just purcahsed a 2012 CR-V from Carey Paul Honda and had a great experience. We worked with Calvin via email prior to going to the dealership and he was extremely helpful, provided great information, responded to our emails quickly, and didn't try to jack up the price with added fees such as ""dealer installed accessories"" like other dealerships. Everyone including Paul in financing was very friendly. We visited 6 other dealerships before this one and didn't have anywhere near the same experience. We highly recommend this dealership. It's too bad their rating has thus far has been brought down by one negative review. Definitely give them a try...and ask for Calvin! more

Service Dept-Attempted Ripoff 4/23/2011

Brought my Accord in for oil change. Done quickly. HOWEVER, I was told that I needed wipers, air filter and cabin filter. I had just changed wipers 2 weeks prior and replaced both the air and cabin filters one month prior to the oil change. \r If Carey Paul Service tells you you need a part repaired or replaced-Get a second opinion. more

Service Dept-Get a Second Opinion 4/23/2011

Went for oil change-performed quickly, HOWEVER, was told I need wipers, air filter and cabin filter. The wipers had just been replaced two weeks prior and the air and cabin filters were replaced one month prior to the oil change. It was obvious that these items were NOT inspected. This event will keep me away from Carey Paul Service Dept and I would caution all to get a 2nd opinion if told that you need an item replaced or repaired. more

Knowingly Sold a Car With a Faulty Transmission 12/14/2010

I purchased a pre-owned 2000 Honda Accord on October 21, 2010. About six weeks later on December 9, the car left me and my two year old stranded on the side of the road 4 1/2 hours from home. I am a student who attends school out of state and I purchased the car because Hondas are know for their reliabilty. Not the case with this car. After my parents went up to the dealership the only the only thing they were told was I bought the car "as-is".\r After doing some research I learned that this particular year and model had a recall on the transmission. After speaking to the GM, Mr. Higgins, he told me if I could get the car back to Georgia they would fix it(not for free) or give me a portion of my money back and try to get me in something else. I am a full-time student and neither I nor my parents have the money to get this car towed 400 plus miles. I feel that I was misled when I bought this car. No reasonable person would believe that this car has been serviced and put through a 145 po more

Service Department Quotes for Parts not broken 7/7/2010

Quoted for over $2500 in needed repair for a minor issues. After a second opinion, found I only needed a part costing $187.00.\r \r They always say dealers charge more, but they are a rip off. Will never go back!! Cons: Bad Service more

Response to Jen M regarding financing 10/1/2009

This is a response to Jen M regarding purchasing a car using Honda Financing. A couple of points to consider\r \r Once you sign a contract using Honda financing to buy a car (same with any dealer), its not a final transaction. The seller takes your offer and tries to get you the interest rate and terms. If the financing company does not agree to the said terms, the seller cannot sell the car - hence the calls days later about the car not being sold and to come back to dealer.\r \r They have the right to also get the best rate and add up to 2% to the rate without disclosing what their best deal was. \r \r They or the financing company can also change the deal after the fact. Case in point (we have 800+ fico scores at the time and unblemished credit) we bought a car for 3.9% financing years ago from one of the Japanese companies. It included upside down insurance for the life of the loan to make the total car price figures equate to the monthly payment (also, never agree on monthly payme more

Carey Paul Honda is way out of line with their service prices 9/30/2009

How is it I got a price quote for a catalytic converter for labor and parts for $1238.00 yet I take it to a local Meineke just down the road and for parts and labor its only $400? I also got a much better warranty 5 years from Meinke versus 12 months from the dealership who incidentally did not have the part in stock and wanted it paid for in advance to order it and could not return it if I changed my mind. I would not recommend them for service, they are way out of the ballpark expensive. The service rep was nice I will give them that. This taught me to shop around before doling out such big bucks for service. Sad with the economic situation we are in people like this can still do business. more

Carey Paul Honda is Extreme Pressure 9/30/2009

We made the mistake of visiting these guys during the recent CFC program. We went back and forth over price for over two hours and ended up leaving. Their original pricing is way overinflated. When asked to see the invoice cost they wouldnt show it. For the next week, the salesman repeatedly called my wife and I each day coming down a little lower on price till by the following Friday they hit our target. I called a day later only to find that the GM had shot down the target offer and we were back at square one. Over the course of the next two months we were repeatedly contacted about once a week from different dealer employees as to what it would take to get us back to the dealership. We finally had to tell them that we were not going to buy a car from them ever. more

Carey Paul Honda is Relatively painless! 9/24/2009

Thanks. I was impressed with the dealership and the friendliness of the agents. I also want to tell everyone here that this was my very first visit and I ended up driving away in a new CRV. more

Carey Paul Honda is very professional & fair 8/25/2009

We had looked for either a recent used or new Honda pilot all over the ATL metroplex. Price on a 2008 w/ under 14,000 miles was notably lower than BB or Edmond's recommended listings. Sales person was resonable, and they were accomadating on trade-in. Fair value on both trade & purchase. After getting the run around @ 4 other ATL Honda dealers, this was refreshing. I would recommend them, and will do business with them again. more
