I have had nothing but great work from Canyon View Dental Care. They are under new management that is amazing. They truly care about their patients and the work that they do. I will recommend them to all. I believe that the other reviews are wrong, I have had no issues at all with any of their staff. Please go and check it out for yourself. They are AMAZING! more

GENTLE Dr.Joshua Bateman and his staff will will make a great first and lasting impression when they greet you (pun not intended). They won't care if you nap while they are examining X-rays and fixing the caries in your mouth -- or you can be wide awake -- the choice is yours; and no one else has a need to know. A pleasant experience and thorough job is what they are all about. more

Ok Dentist, but BEWARE if you value an office that will keep your xrays and medical records. I went to that Canyon View when I lived in UT (07-09) and then moved back to PA. My metlife insurance only covers panoramic xrays every 5 years, so I had to call the office to get the records. A week and a half before the appointment, I called the office and talked to Justin to make sure that they could send the records. I told him my name, the dates of service, all necessary info etc. and was told that they could send them to the new dentist. Long story short, it took 3 phone calls to get the office to send the release form. When I did sign and send back, only then did Candace tell me that I was not even in their system. I sent her the invoice from the xray to prove that I was a patient there. Justin called me back and said that since it has been SO long (4.5 years) since I was there, that my records were in storage. He said that he would not be able to locate them in time for my dentist appt with the new doc, and added that he might not be able to find them at all. I asked him - why didn't you tell me during the first phone call that I wasn't in the system and that my records were probably lost in storage. He was not sorry at all and kept saying that ""he was trying to make it convenient for me"". He also said that 4.5 years was a long time to expect that office to keep records. BAD customer service and irresponsible record keeping!! Luckily my new dentist is awesome and gave me a discount on the xray that I needed since Canyon View Dental totally dropped the ball. more

I saw Canyonview Dental while driving by about 3 years ago and called and set up an appointment. My son and I have been going since then for regular check ups, broken teeth, implant and cavities. My 2 insurance's have been billed over $10,000 I then recommended my daughter that has 4 kids and she has been going for a variety of situations. So I called the new finance manger and ask if I could get a discount on a crown that I had the implant for if I got my second daughter to go in for a visit, and the Finance Manager said no discount because she said ""both my daughters go there already."" I thought, well and yes they do because I referred them! And there is a sign on the waiting area that says something about a discount on referrals, but since I did not ask for the discount at the time I referred my kids, it did not apply too me. Well I was going to have my wife go there as she needs a lot of dental work done too and called and got the Finance Manager on the phone again but she was busy and said she would call me back to go over my account. After a few weeks of not hearing from her I called and left a voice mail and still have not heard back. I even have a credit at Canyonview Dental, so I guess I have to call and have them mail me a check for the credit I have there and find a new dentist for my 3 kids and wife since I cannot get the discount for my referral that the sign that is posted in their office says one gets. I didn't want much, just something for all the referrals I have given them. But to get ""they already come here so you can't have a discount"" was too much. It is now time for me, my son and daughter to get our check ups done and the cost of just income for the dentist for those 3 check ups are not worth taking care of me with some sort of discount on the crown I need. I mean when someone ask me for some sort of discount I at least talk to them and work something out, but apparently Dentists have too big of a demand on them to want my business. more

Great dentist and fun staff 9/23/2010

I've been a patient of Dr. Ellingson for almost four years here in Sandy. He and his staff have all been very helpful and friendly to me, and they all seem to be like a big family that actually enjoy what they are doing! I've had everything from just a cleaning to a root canal after an abscessed tooth (which hurt liek a son of a gun in the middle of the night) and have been pleased with all of my treatment there (no more pain now!). I have told most of my friends to go to see Dr. Dan because they'll be happy with his work.\r \r With the enormous amount of dentists in Salt Lake it seemed like a crap shoot when choosing. I'm lucky to have chosen well here. more
