We have had a generator installed by Cannondale for over 10 years. In our area we have power outages as often as 10 times a year-some short and others for many hours. It has always operated as expected and the one time it didn't a service person came that day. We have it serviced twice a year as recommended. I depend on the generator and am very pleased with Cannondale service. more

Had a power outage on a Sunday morning. Generator started automatically and ran for a few minutes then shut down. Called Cannondale, their Tech Bob D was at my home within about an hour to find the generator had thrown and damaged a belt. He could have had me wait until Monday, but instead drove around until he found an auto parts store open who had the correct belt and within two hours from power outage I was back on the generator! Thanks Bob! more

Called to inquire about servicing my Genrac 20kw generator. They told me that ""as per Generac warranty maintenance requirements"" they would have to service the generator 2x a year. Well little did they know I am a retired electrician that installed it and did the 1st service myself. It was like $20 dollars in parts and about 45 mins in labor. The service manual clearly states that oil changes and filters only need to be done every 2 yrs or 200 hrs of running time. They wanted $400 to do a yrs service. Also they said that they have to as per company policy send out a tech to make sure that unit was installed by code. We had a permit and it was inspected and a co issued by my town. Well when their guy came out, without me even to agree to it the tech broke off a rain gauge I had mounted to unit, loosened the battery cable to get a trouble alert warning display and left the top unlocked and opened about 6"". Well I had already inspected the unit and all was fine and tight the same day ! I had already decided after reading the manual that service wasn't due till the following yr and that a service contract wasn't needed. \r Looks like another company wanting to capitalize on the storms and peoples anxiety after 2 yrs of storms. more

one of the worst companies i have had to deal with. They never return your calls, unprofessional, unorganized and they expect you to do all the work for them. been trying to fix a generator since sandy and they refuse to fix or even take a look at it eventhough they installed it. horrible people!!!! Using PowerPro in Yonkers who will be here tuesday!! Shame on you Cannondale!!! more

Very Pleased and Satisfied 9/12/2011

The generator I bought and had installed from this company ran perfectly for the Hurricane. It turned itself on during the middle of night and continued working for 6 days until the power was restored. When the power came back, the transfer back to street power was so seamless I hardly noticed it. I just wanted to thank you not only for the generator but for the extraordinary effort to be available at all times. I have recommended you to all my neighbors. more

Still without power 8/30/2011

They have also been responsible for servicing my generator for over 2 years. Each time they service my generator there is always an additional charge not covered under the contract. I have replaced many parts and continued with the maintenance for the last 2 years. The last 2 storms that we had I was without power and the generator was not able to run. more

Unprofessional and Inept 8/30/2011

They have been responsible for servicing our generator for the last 2 years - since it was installed. The power has gone out twices since and both times the generator has not worked. In addition they have not been available to fix the generator or professional enough to return one of many messages. Interestingly, given the number of people talking about power outages post Irene there were a number of people discussing their generators at the gym and a few people mentioned Cannondale as their service provider and all said they or their friends were upset that the generators weren't working or could not get get any service. Completely inept. Hard to imagine them maintaining a viable business. more
