I went to 108 Dental Group after visiting another dentist (Cool Springs Dental on Baker's Bridge Rd, please, Please, PLEASE stay away from those people). The previous dentist (part of a larger chain, of course) decided I had some sort of gum disease and wanted to do an extenstive scaling/root planing which would cost roughly $1300.00. This was all decided without really even speaking to me. The assistant acted like she was not only afraid to touch me, but also afraid to talk to me. So weird. Talk about uncomfortable. Anyway, I realize I am not a doctor, but a person generally knows when they are having serious issues like this ""dentist"" had talked about. I knew I definitely wanted a second opinion, especially after the warning feeling I had in the pit of my stomach. So I scheduled with 108 Dental Group. After going to 108 Dental Group, I was reassured that I under no circumstances needed anything like the previous dentist. What I did end up doing is having FRIENDLY people talk with me, get to know me and my hygiene, and then dicuss what I needed. We decided on an in depth cleaning only because it had been over a year since I had them cleaned. The hygienist and doctor said there was no sign of anything the previous dentist was out for. Needless to say, I was charged $80.00, instead of $1300.00, while being treated like an adult instead of a red-headed step child. Five stars for honesty and friendly attitudes!
Pros: Friendly staff, Honest medical advice and help, Thinking of the patient, not their pockets!
Cons: A long drive from my house, but well worth it!
