This Russian restaurant hidden in Post Alley building serves up some authentic Russian favorites from friendly Russian staff. Open 9-6, this is primarily a quick lunch spot. Since this is a bit of the beaten path, you do not get the heavy traffic of tourists. Highlights include delicious Pelmeni (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and lamb) Pierogi, Piroski’s (16 varieties), stuffed cabbage, borscht and various pastries. Everything is home made in their kitchen.
Cafe Yarmarka is in close proximity to some other great Russian cuisine, such as Piroshky Pirossky, but if you crave something other than Piroski’s, Café Yarmarka is the best bet.
Also, it should be noted that uncooked Pelmeni and Pierogi is available to purchase go. Call ahead to order.
