So I decided to check out Cafe Sahara after reading the good reviews and honestly I do not know how this place is still is business. The pita bread is OK, not very authentic tasting but it's ok, same thing with the hummus, but my compliments stop there. I ordered the chicken tikka which was basically thin, flat, dry chicken and tasteless rice. The salad was a basic garden salad that you would expect from a fast food restaurant i guess, but not with a 10 dollar entree. Oh, the service was good the first time I went though, but there was nobody in the place and she actually seemed nervous about whether or not I would like the food. Since I really like middle eastern food I decided to give the place a second chance. I ordered the Chicken Biryani this time, once again, the hummas and pita bread was ok, but the dish was a big box of rice with a few pieces of chicken in it. The rice had a taste this time, and it was overwhelming, want to know what it tasted like? TAP WATER!!! The most disgusting rice I have ever eaten in my life, I can't cook and I can make better rice than this with a box of rice-a-roni and a microwave. I will NEVER go back to Cafe Sahara unless I'm in a rush and I want some hummas and pita bread.
Pros: never busy
Cons: food is very bad, wayyy overpriced, sometimes service is good sometimes they are quite rude
