Cafe Sahara serves Middle Eastern food that is delicious. The restaurant is small but well decorated with ethnic music playing while you eat. Mostly, I go for the buffet lunch which is a very reasonably priced variety of foods, usually at least two meat dishes and several vegetable dishes. Some is spicy, but most is at that just right level that means flavor instead of burn. The food tastes fresh and is served hot (except, of course, the salads and the dessert that are included). They also have belly dancing on Saturday nights. Vegetarian and vegan items on the menu are noted and the manager will be glad to assist in finding items that fill special dietary needs or tastes. The service is fast and attentive. A very nice place to go. more

So I decided to check out Cafe Sahara after reading the good reviews and honestly I do not know how this place is still is business. The pita bread is OK, not very authentic tasting but it's ok, same thing with the hummus, but my compliments stop there. I ordered the chicken tikka which was basically thin, flat, dry chicken and tasteless rice. The salad was a basic garden salad that you would expect from a fast food restaurant i guess, but not with a 10 dollar entree. Oh, the service was good the first time I went though, but there was nobody in the place and she actually seemed nervous about whether or not I would like the food. Since I really like middle eastern food I decided to give the place a second chance. I ordered the Chicken Biryani this time, once again, the hummas and pita bread was ok, but the dish was a big box of rice with a few pieces of chicken in it. The rice had a taste this time, and it was overwhelming, want to know what it tasted like? TAP WATER!!! The most disgusting rice I have ever eaten in my life, I can't cook and I can make better rice than this with a box of rice-a-roni and a microwave. I will NEVER go back to Cafe Sahara unless I'm in a rush and I want some hummas and pita bread. Pros: never busy Cons: food is very bad, wayyy overpriced, sometimes service is good sometimes they are quite rude more

I stopped in for dinner with a 2 for 1 coupon I downloaded from Entertainment Publications which I have used many times before. I was the only one in the place at 5:30PM, the kid who waited on me took my order shortly after and I told him I had a coupon for 2 for 1 then I placed my order. I ordered Chicken curry which I did not get and chicken tikka which was very dry and the chicken curry was missing the curry sause and potatoes! The rice was dry and the pita bread was stale! Not to mention it took almost 40 minutes to serve my entrees and I was the only one in the place! They also waited until the bill was delivered to tell me they would not accept my coupon! I won't go back! don't waste your money! Pros: can't think of any Cons: over priced more

I happened on Cafe Sahara by accident and was pleasantly suprised. the food was delicious a mix of mediterranean and Indian and the service was really good. The owner took the time to come to our table and ask if things were good and if there was anything they could do better. I was very suprised at the quality of food for the price. Definately recommend it, atmosphere seemed good for a nice romantic evening or for a family occasion. more
