Place looked good from the street, sat on the front deck/patio. Good music and chips. Thirsty for some good ol' margaritas. We asked our server about the Happy Hour Specials (which didn't end for another hour). He told us all margaritas were $2.00 off, and all beers $1.00. Not such a great deal, but they looked good, so asked for two. They were great! \r However, when the bill came, we noticed that he had only taken off a dollar a drink. So, before I paid, I said, ""I thought you said they were $2.00 off?"" He very rudely said, ""No, I said a dollar!"" I then decided to call the restaurant from my table and asked what the Happy Hour specials were. To my surprise, I was told that Margaritas were $3.00!!!!! \r I was sooooo angry and really shocked that I had been lied to. Went and found the manager and explained the situation. I asked to have the charges removed. She actually hesitated and when I went to find the server to confront him (and give him once last chance to redeem himself), I learned from another patron (sitting at the bar) that she was laughing with another server about it. \r Finally, I started to raise my voice (at this point I really needed ten more margaritas). She insisted that the ""Cadillac margarita"" wasn't on the Happy Hour list and she couldn't reduce the charges to $3.00 a piece (can you believe this!? We were told all margaritas were $2.00 off!!!) I demanded that she take the charges off, but she refused and finally ended up reluctantly and rudely charging $3.00 a piece. \r Summary: Good margaritas, nice patio, but a really shady and rude staff. We took some friends to the West End Cadillac Bar this past weekend hoping to have a fun time and boy were we disappointed. First, we were greeted by a snot nosed waiter that told (not asked) us to give us a credit card to guarantee that we were not going to walk on the bill. i understand that they had several parties that had just gotten up and left without paying, but there is a more polite way of asking....the guy treated us rudely from the first moment. We then waited forever to receive our drinks and chips/hot sauce. When we asked the waiter where our drinks were, he acted put out and didn't reply, just walked off. We then finally received our food. The fajitas were completely cold (not sizzling). The horror started when I had finished most of my beer (which was a beer/salt/lime drink full with ice) and noticed an insect leg at the bottom of the drink (the ice had melted and the beer froth was gone, so I didn't notice it until most of the drink was gone). I inspected the leg carefully to ensure it was indeed a ""insect leg"". I could see the hairs on the leg and everything. I complained to the waiter who grabbed the drink and abruptly said ""that's a piece of cherry"". i argued with him about it and told him I wanted the drink refunded. He walked off and brought back a guy that was supposedly the manager. No introduction, no ""Sir, how can I help you""....he immediately said ""yea, so what's the problem here""......mind you we had been barely drinking and in no way were we acting abnoxious. I explained to this so-called manager that there was an insect leg in my drink. He abrutly interrupted me and said ""that ain't no insect leg, that's a piece of dirt or cherry or something.....You already drink most of the drink, you would have noticed that right off....ON A NIGHT LIKE THIS, THAT SHI* DON'T FLY"". I've NEVER heard of a manager of a restaurant cussing to an patron. The man was ignorant, un-educated, and an obvious hot-head. Amex is reversing charge. I just had my rehearsal dinner at Cadillac Bar in the West End and it was perfect! The banquet manger was so great to give us exactly what we wanted right down to the table cloths. We got to customize our menu and everything! The prices where what sold us because everyone else had a minimum or a room charge. The best part about it was that after words we all took fun pictures in the beautiful West End. This place was great and stress free. I highly recommend it!
