Can not recommend high enough. The staff and owners went way above and beyond to help in a difficult size for a sad occasion. The staff took all our anxiety and talked kind while doing an amazing feat. Everything going was above and beyond any service I could imagine. Couldn't ask for better highly highly recommended If you need anything go to c e roth. Awesome wouldn't think twice about going there again it's not even a choice they are THE ONLY place we will deal with more

Great for tuxedo rental, however, do NOT get your bridal dress (or any other dress for that matter) altered here. Broken promises, dress not ready 4 days before wedding, aweful alterations. I wish I never took my dress here because it was the biggest disaster. Taking my dress away from this store was the best decision ever made. The alterations location that I took to fix the mess said after looking at what CE Roth had done, she couldn't believe it and they have no clue what they are doing. They almost ruined my dress to be completely unwearable and took in one side more than the other and cut the fabric out so it almost was unfixable. Do NOT take your dress alterations here. more

Fantastic. Hands down - this is the best place for formalwear in the Lehigh Valley. Knowledgeable professional staff that have an eye for detail. Good luck finding that elsewhere in retail. I used them for my wedding and they did a great job. I have gone back several times for tuxedos for charity events and have always had a great experience. I use them for alternations and occassionally I'll purchase from their men's shop. Other than restaurants, it is probably the only store I support in the city of Allentown. more

This business has horrible customer service. The first time I went to C E Roth there was a very upset woman screaming about her dress not being ready for her wedding of the same day. They had my sister's wedding gown and the brides maids' dresses for over three months. Each time she went back the store owner told my sister and my mom that they would be ready by another date - giving his word each time that they would be altered by then. A week before the wedding only one dress was altered. When my mother asked why the owner gave an excuse every time as to why the dresses were never ready, he responded rudely. He told my mother she was being foolish and wouldn't finish her order, giving her the name of another tailor who would do the alterations. Our family will never give C E Roth business again. more

From my own prom to my borthers wedding and everything between. I have always found C. E. Roth very knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. What has impressed me most about the company is even as their cliental vary the service doesn't. more

Roth is a great place when looking for formal wear. I took my prom date there and we were in and out quickly and ended up with a wonderful suit. They also helped us out in a middle school musical!!! Great Place more

great local shop 12/29/2005

CE Roth in Allentown is a great local shop that does first class work for any formal rentals. I have been to them for multiple weddings and they have been great every time. Their prices are usually significantly cheaper than the national shops for pretty much the same thing. They are only one shop and local to the valley, so the only hard thing is if you have groomsmen that are from out of town, but they can get measured locally and send the information to the shop. PROS: good prices and service CONS: only one shop more
