Cameron's is a great book store and it is Portland’s oldest used bookstore. They stock over 100,000 used books and magazines, including Life, Look, Time, Playboy and Comics. They also list with online booksellers ABE and Biblio. They have books sorted into dozens of categories. If you are a book lover you can spend hours here. They have many vintage magazines available that make great birthday gifts. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. more

Used Books and Magazines 1/14/2006

This bookstore doesn't look very inviting from the outside but once you start looking through the huge selection of books and magazines, you like the place more. The shelves are quite crowded with merchandise but the salespeople are good at helping you find what you want. This is the kind of place you have to check back in with as their selection changes all the time. more

A one of a kind bookstore in Portland 8/20/2005

I have not found a bookstore like Cameron's anywhere. They buy and sell used books, as well as magazines and sell old magazines. A great place to find a back issue of your favorite magazine, or even just flip through some in the store for nostalgia. They can be a little picky about books when you go to sell though. On one book I tried to sell, one page was slightly ripped in a corner and they wouldn't take it. more

Great Bookstore 8/18/2005

It’s been operating since 1938 and they have literally thousands of selections ranging from books, comics, magazines and old magazines. They will also buy your used books and magazines. One of my favorite parts of Cameron’s is the old magazines from the 50’s and 60’s. They are history book of pop culture that are fascinating to read. more
