Lots of history, didn't like the food 3/17/2006

When I went to the Lion House to eat, I didn't care for the food AT ALL. I had the Chicken Parmesan and the chicken was dry and the sauce was not to my liking. The only thing I could taste was the strong presence of oregano. The rolls were okay, but kind of hard and dried out. My salad was gross too. I think it had been sitting for a while because the lettuce was soggy. I was disappointed because I had always heard good things about the food. I can't really recommend this place. more

Not really that great a house 10/14/2005

I've eaten at the Lion House, been to wedding receptions at the Lion House, been to wedding luncheons, and just toured the thing. It's OK. There is a lot of history there, but my wife gets the most mangled feeling when ever she goes there. I would recommend visiting new model homes in new home communities rather than the Lion House. more

Great Food and a Bit History 9/26/2005

The Lion House is known for it's wonderful rolls. You have to experience them to appreciate why people come from all over the area to have some of them. They also do an excellent job cater for weddings and banquets. There is a small restaurant on the side where you can order some of their dishes. You'll be glad you did. The Lion House is also a historic landmark with many antiques lying around for your viewing pleasure. There is also a garden area to accommodate your banquet or wedding reception. Go enjoy and experience some history at the same time. more

Such a cool place 9/13/2005

The Lion House in Salt Lake City is a historic site of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is located in downtown right by the Temple Square. There are daily tours and a restaurant there as well. What a great way to learn about Utah's heritage. Be sure to check them out if you are ever in Salt Lake City. more

The Lion House is known for it's ability to cater for weddings and banquets. They have the best rolls you'll ever taste.
