The place for all your UMD apparel and books 11/7/2005

This place is a good place to go to buy your books, because they tend to have the ones you need right there. However, it is generally cheaper to search around online to find the best deals once you know what you need. This place also has a good assortment of Maryland apparel and gifts; i.e. it is the perfect place to take parents when visiting or to pick up alumna gear. In addition to textbooks they also have a nice supply of more mainstream books, the kind you could buy at most big name bookstores, which is nice since it is so close to campus. Sell your books back to Bookholders, though. They'll get you more money on average. more

Big, but Does not give good Buy Back 8/19/2005

I will go to Maryland Book Exchange ONLY after going to Book Holders, because Book Holders is much cheaper. Now, this is for buying books. In terms of selling back my books, I ONLY go to Book Holders, because they will give you much more if you post the book online (which they do for you). Maryland Book Exchange almost robs you when you do buy back with them. Although MBE is much bigger and great place to buy your Terps goodies. more

Buy Textbooks Here 8/19/2005

This is the best place to buy textbooks for those attending classes at the University of Maryland, College Park. The books, which are located in the basement, are organized well and provide useful information on which books are required and which are only recommended. Clothes and school supplies are overpriced, however. Also, this isn't the best place to sell your books back at the end of the semester. more

good for textbooks 8/17/2005

this is a good place to buy textbooks you can't buy at bookholders. it's still quite pricey as far as books are concerned. they do sell UM-branded clothes, but they're quite expensive. art supplies are good, and cheap stationery, but the store in general is catered to the people who come shop for textbooks with their loaded parents. they do have a good selection of fiction, but that's all overshadowed by the huge textbook section downstairs. it's a bit of a hassle finding a parking spot, and the lot is laid out in a weird way - there's no easy access from the main road (route 1). selling textbooks here is better than anywhere else though. more
