Anik is one of those Upper East Side boutiques that's straight out of the scene from "Pretty Woman" - you must look like you have money for them to be nice to you. If you're not fitting the Upper East Side mold, consider yourself ignored.
As a result, I stop here maybe once a year just to snoop around and see if they have anything good in the back, where the "outlet" section is. And because I like to chill while I shop and wear clothes I can easily pull off in order to try things on, I'm not all made-up and dressed to the nines. This leads me to believe it's the reason why I get one-worded answers and blank expressions from the sales staff in response to my questions.
Trust me, this store is nothing special. Not the selection, not the staff. I can take my money elsewhere, find the same outfit, and get much better customer service for it.
