This is the place to go when you're looking for cool yarns and patterns (e.g., Rowan yarns, etc). It's also conveniently located in downtown Ithaca, near The Commons. The also have a good selection of books with interesting and new ideas for knitting--- the colors and suggestions are inspiring. There is also a huge selection of beautiful fabrics great for quilting.
