This is one of the best restaurants in Boulder but the line is usually out the door. They have Italian, Greek, and Spanish food which gives you a taste of everything. I'd recommen...

Great food, Great prices 1/30/2007

I just got back from eating at "The Med" and the food was just amazing. One of the special entrées of the day was what I decided to order, Herb roasted chicken with sautéed shitake mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was AMAZING! And didn't put a hole in my pocket! The portions were huge and the "happy hour" appetizers and desserts were SO good! Check it out if you like great food, but expect for it to be busy. It can get a bit crowded, so don't go if you want a more "cozy" atmosphere. more

I wanna give it more 9/11/2006

You really want to love the Med for many reasons....its the type of food middle-eastern dip loving commitment phobes like me adore (think TRUE tapas, not small plates, lots of baba, flatbreads, smoked meats, mushroom and olive-y things, plus pizza, salads, and feta feta sweet feta), a nice outdoor dining area, decent service (managers are active on the floor) and insanely reasonable prices. I've gone a few times, though, and although I think most restaurants can get by with "good but not great food", the Med never truly satisfies. I'm gonna keep trying it though, because I think it may just be a matter of finding the standbys that work for you. I do like the smoked trout tapa. The med sampler didn't do it for me. The margherita pizza was kinda bland - fine and hey, for the price, great, but I'd pay a few bucks more for zingier sauce and higher quality cheese! more

Good food, great scene. 7/23/2006

One of Boulder's nicest scenes, the Med won't wow you with the food, but neither will it disappoint. The fish dishes seem to rise above some of the other fare, but the diverse menu allows anyone to find something to eat. Of particular note, the happy hour tapas menu is superb and a steal at the prices they charge. more

Cheap tapas; college kid hangout. 5/23/2006

Food is so-so (the wood fired pizza is very good), but the throngs of drinking college kids kill the whole deal for us. We get up the gumption to "give it another chance" every few years, and everytime we do, we leave vowing never to return. If you're a college kid, this is the place to be; we're not college kids though :-). more

My favorite in all of Boulder 5/7/2006

You can never go wrong with "The Med", especially in the summer when you can sit outside. You can go in with any budget and find something delicious on the menu. We enjoy taking a group of people and sharing tapas, it's specialty, but their main entrées are excellent as well. This is also where I usually take people visiting from out of town. They don't take reservations over the phone and some nights can be very crowded, so we will sometimes put our names in and then walk around the Pearl Street Mall. more

Great Food, Inexpensive, Awesome Scene 4/8/2006

The Med is one of the mainstays of the downtown Boulder restaurant scenes. It's always busy - partly because it's one of the only upscale Boulder restaurants that is inexpensive enough for the college crowd. The food is consistently great - a wide variety of tapas and mediterranian / Italian entrees - with the occassional special. The waitstaff is young, energetic, and consistently friendly - this is clearly a fun place to work even though it's always intensely busy. The scene is great - crowded, yet not annoyingly so, dynamite food, good wine list, and - well - low prices for the quality you are getting. more

Great food - Great value 12/12/2005

The Med is absolutely the best reasonably priced restaurant in Boulder!! The food is as good as it gets and it fits into a modest budget. It never fails to please. It has a large Mediterranean-based menu, including happy hour tapas for $1.00. Great atmosphere, but be sure to arrive early because it gets very crowded after 6:30 pm, and very noisy. I take all of my out-of-town guests here for lunch and dinner because it is the best value, best food for the price in town. more

Great Food, Decent Prices 11/7/2005

This is one of the best mid-priced restaurants in Boulder. The food is excellent, from tapas and unique salads to fresh fish, creative sandwiches and brilliant entrees. The Med also has an excellent atmosphere. I have taken friends and parents and kids... everyone has loved it. more

Great Mediterranean Restaurant 8/17/2005

The Med came very highly recommended by many people for both lunch and dinner. We went there with my parents and had a great romantic dinner. We all got seafood paella and we loved it! The food, atmosphere and service were great. It was very loud, crowded and hot though. more
