Overpriced Home Goods 4/15/2006

Everything here is overpriced. If you have a car (or at least access to one), then you're much better off going to Home Depot or Ikea. The only time you should come here is during their monthly (or so) Midnight Madness sales where everything is marked down huge amounts. If you do insist on buying stuff here, then make sure you use a coupon. They're always printed on the back of my Shaw's receipts. Also, sign up for the frequent shopper card, but you can't use it during sales. more

Great Place for Affordable Home Stuff 9/2/2005

Economy Hardware is more than a hardware store. They also sell appliances and furniture. They are an ideal place to go if you are a student or moving into your first apartment. The stuff is very affordable. more

Economy Hardware is more than a simple hardware store. They also sell appliances, housewares, furniture, and electronics. If you buy furniture here, it is almost always cheaper than in a typical furniture store. However, you may have to put in some elbow grease to get your 'ideal' furniture. A lot of the furniture is unfinished and you will have to stain or paint it yourself. A tip: If you become an E-card member and spend $35 five times, then you receive a $15 gift certificate for the store. more
