This is one of those stores that defines the recent developments in downtown Coventry: it tries really hard to be trendy and it almost succeeds. There's history here: the store is thirty-two years old; it's always been "alternative"; but in the nineties "alternative" became "sellout". (The bumper stickers have gotten more expensive.)
But enough about how the store feels. It's a friendly environment. As for the selection of gifts and jewelry and cards and things, it's unparalleled in Coventry. You will find cute, vaguely folksy things here, and you will like it.
Coventry isn't very big, and High Tide/Rock Bottom has always stood out with its trademark striped awnings. It's hard to miss this place, and you certainly shouldn't if you're in the area. You might find something for someone you like.
