Been going here for years... 6/29/2006

I started going to Sally's while I was still in college and continue to go back since I've graduated. Although it's not the poshest nail salon in the area (it actually looks a bit scary if you've never been), I have found that the staff is friendly and they do a great job. Plus, it's the cheapest place in Seattle to get a mani/pedi and any wax job. Mani/pedi is only $25 and eyebrow was is $8, the cheapest I've seen anywhere. During the school year, call ahead to make an appointment, as she has a booming college business and it's often impossible to walk in. more

Sally's Nails - Disgusting and unhygenic 8/16/2005

I got a manicure recently at Sally's Nails, and I'm still wondering to myself why I didn't just walk out in the middle of it. While the manicurist was trimming my cuticles (with trimmers that came out of an auto-clave looking thing, but did not look anywhere CLOSE to clean), she used the trimmers to trim one of her OWN cuticles and then went back to mine. I'm fairly sure this violates some RCW or another, but even if it doesn't it's just plain disgusting. I also didn't see licences displayed for any of the individual manicurists, just a "salon/shop" license at the front of the store. Don't go here. Spend more and get a good, clean manicure elsewhere. more
