If you've ever loved a pair of shoes and worn them to death, then this is the place to bring them back to life.
Angelo's is located in midtown (between 52nd Street and 53rd Street) on Fifth Avenue near great shoe stores and Saks.
They do a great job of reviving shoes that have been worn down, have holes in them and, in general, have seen better days.
It's not cheap but I also don't think it's expensive. If you've paid $400 plus for a pair of Manolo Blahniks or Jimmy Choos (or any other high end shoe), then spending $30 to $40 to have your beloved shoes resoled and cleaned, is a small price to pay to have your beloved back in lovely shape.
They see a lot of high-end shoes so they know how to treat them well. It sounds silly but given how important our shoes are (especially the ones we've paid a lot of money for), this is a good investment.
