BYU Bookstore 2/26/2011

The BYU Bookstore Serviced my stolen laptop that had the serial number scratched off of it. I spoke with Dennis Lindberg, the Assistant Manager. I told him the name of the Det. who is working on the case and all I wanted was some peace of mind, the name(s) of the people who turned it in/picked it up and the contact info so I could give it to the Det. that I had just paged. I wanted the Det. to handle it so I could get all of my things back that were stolen from My children and myself Christmas Eve. Dennis told me if I sent him the receipt proving I owned the MacBookPro and forwarded him the email Apple sent me telling me my laptop had been serviced at his store, Dennis would give me more information, namely last name(s) and contact info (beside the first name which I already had received from a clerk the night before) who had my laptop. Dennis called me to confirm he received the information and then proceeded to tell me that he would give the info to the campus police and the det. I was working with and it was a police matter now so I would have to wait until Monday to get more info. He repeatedly refused to give me his supervisors name and when I told him I could get it anyway and I would tell him/her that he had refused to give it to me, he finally gave it to me. Earlier in the conversation, Dennis told me that if the serial numbers are scratched off, the item is usually stolen. I asked Dennis why would the BYU Bookstore service a computer that had the serial number scratched off? Dennis had no answer. I was did was I said I would do. Dennis would not. I am amazed that Dennis was so deceitful to me. He told he a last name, then told me it wasn't really it. Then Dennis told me another last name. Idk what to believe. BYU has a reputation for being honest in all their dealings... that is also a question required for a temple recommend. I wonder if he has one? more

Convenient but not always cheap 12/3/2005

The BYU bookstore is extremely convenient for students and has had most everything I've needed (candy, books, stationary, and computer stuff). Their prices are not too great most of the time but when they have promotions going you can get in on some great deals. Friendly staff, tons of BYU memorabilia, decent selection of LDS books... the BYU bookstore is doing a good job of serving students and the community! more

Better than Hallmark! 9/21/2005

I think the BYU Bookstore has a better selection than Hallmark and the prices are about the same. If you ever need a gift - head over here and you will find something for that person. They have such a wide selection. And if you buy it there - they even have a gift wrap section on the second floor that will wrap the gift for free! more

A fun place to shop 9/2/2005

Located on the BYU campus, the BYU bookstore has many things to offer. They of course have an abundant supply of books for both education and for leisure. They also sell BYU clothing, such as hats, sweatshirts, etc. I have enjoyed my visits to the BYU Bookstore. I would recommend going if you are in the area. more

Great campus bookstore 8/17/2005

I love the bookstore! They have 3 floors with all sorts of goodies. All the popular books, both LDS and regular "general" fare. Textbooks galore - I especially like the 90% off section for discontinued books. Clothes, electronics, art supplies, food (yummy fudge!) and much more. There is also the Twilight Zone that stays open later than the main bookstore...they have food and general snacks, and basics. If you ask nicely...they will fetch you things from the main store after it closes. They run great sales on books several times a year, including some more 90% off regular books. more

Great university bookstore! 8/17/2005

The BYU Bookstore is a one stop shop for all of your text books, pleasure reading books and apparel. They also have a fudge counter where they have great candy and fudge. You can get all your cougar wear that you need for any sporting event you want to attend. They also offer a bank for your financial needs. There's a small snack shop if you need something more substantial to eat. There are 3 floors of things to look through with a post office on the bottom floor. more

Awesome Bookstore, and so much more 8/17/2005

This is a great bookstore. As can be expected, they have tons of books. They have everything from general fiction, to children's books, to religious material, as well as candy, clothing, computers, office supplies, movies, music, etc. This is a one stop shop for anything BYU related. They also have a great textbook section with an easy to deal with return policy. If you visit BYU, you must stop at this store. more

Rent DVDs Cheap from BYU Bookstore 8/17/2005

Did you know that students can rent DVD's and VHS tapes from the BYU Bookstore? This service to BYU students is sometimes as cheap as $0.49 a night! While the selection isn't great, for that price it definately is worth looking into. If anything, rentals are easily returned on campus in between classes, so say goodbye to late fees... unless you forget it at home. more

Books plus 8/16/2005

The BYU Bookstore has a lot more than just books. They have all of the text books you would need for classes, as well as more general fiction and non-fiction books. There is a moderate clothing selection -- lots of BYU logo stuff as well as other stuff. Unless its on sale, the clothing is usually fairly expensive. There are all of the school supplies you need downstairs. They also have tons of LDS books, scriptures, pictures, etc. There is even a small computer store upstairs (where you can get student discounts on software). Although it is usually more expensive, the Bookstore is convenient and sometimes you can find deals. more
