Lacrosse Hall of Fame 3/17/2006

Considering that I'm a museum professional who lived directly across the street from this museum for three years and never felt a burning urge to visit, that should tell you my overall opinion of this place. When I finally did visit, I found it to be quite informative, but not much more than an homage to the nearby national collegiate champions. If you've got some spare time to kill, it's a interesting place to check out. more

Perfect Outing! 12/22/2005

The US Lacrosse Hall of Fame is a very unique museum. Located on the Johns Hopkins Campus, it is direcly next to historic Homewood field. It shows many of the more memorable moments of Lacrosse history like its progression from being a sport created by the American Indians to its inception as a national sport. The Hall of Fame is a welcome site for fans and amateurs alike! more

Small but if you are into Lacrosse, go for it 8/15/2005

Johns Hopkins is number 1 in the nation for college lacrosse so it's no surprise the the US Lacrosse Museum is located right next to it. You'll get to learn the history of lacrosse and see all the Hall of Famers. REALLY, if you are a fan of lacrosse, this is a must-see. You will know everyone, or most of the people on the wall. The gift shop has some pretty nice stuff, and if your kids play lacrosse, i'm sure they'd love something from there. They also have a section for modern day lacrosse, men's and women's. Though not a terribly impressive museum (i.e. the musum is not very big or very elaborate in decoration) it's highly-recommended for fans and those who play lacrosse themselves. more
