Although I've only adopted cats from the Anti-Cruelty Society, I think it's safe to say that the dog adoption process is equally as positive. The facilities are clean, well-lit, and fortunately free of the smell of droppings that plague most other animal shelters. The volunteers there are knowledgeable, helpful, and positive. During my visits to the Anti-Cruelty Society, I noticed that dogs were frequently being taken out of their pens for short walks. Simiarly, cats were frequently taken out of their cages for love and attention. Most of the pets at the Anti-Cruelty Society are well-socialized and friendly. Resources such as dog-training classes and pet behavior hotlines are available through the establishment. Great place to go for pet adoption.
