Just the best at Anti-Cruelty Society 8/7/2010

First of all...the staff here is dedicated and an asset to any organization....... We visited Anti-Cruelty Society las Saturday to see if we could find a dog after losing our beloved Max 5 weeks ago. We had the most charming fellow help us to find the right dog. The lady, Dotty, that helped with the adoption was also very caring and informative. Everyone there was polite and attentive to not only us but also to the dogs. The premises were clean and there was no smell. We found our Katie, a golden retriever, and the first night was a breeze with her. She is intelligent and knows many commands. We are very glad that we visited the Anti-Cruelty Society and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pet. more

I appauld their work 3/18/2006

The work that these folks do is amazing and a huge blessing to so many people and of course animals. Many of the people who work here are devoted to the cause of helping these dogs and cats find a good home. They provide all the shots, tags and papers you will need for a low fee. Some of the people working here are volunteers-thanks folks. Job well done! more

Adopt a Pet! 8/19/2005

This is the best place to adopt a cat or dog! They are mostly strays or abandoned and have had all their shots. The price is really great for adopting a cat because the employees are truly dedicated to finding good homes for the animals. Stop in anytime and look at the animals . the staff lets you hold them while you are making your decision. One look at the animals and you won't be able to resist taking one home! more

Anti-Cruelty Society - great adoption experiences 8/13/2005

Although I've only adopted cats from the Anti-Cruelty Society, I think it's safe to say that the dog adoption process is equally as positive. The facilities are clean, well-lit, and fortunately free of the smell of droppings that plague most other animal shelters. The volunteers there are knowledgeable, helpful, and positive. During my visits to the Anti-Cruelty Society, I noticed that dogs were frequently being taken out of their pens for short walks. Simiarly, cats were frequently taken out of their cages for love and attention. Most of the pets at the Anti-Cruelty Society are well-socialized and friendly. Resources such as dog-training classes and pet behavior hotlines are available through the establishment. Great place to go for pet adoption. more
