Color Me Mine

I thought this was supposed to be a great place to take the kids but when we went, the only people there were about 4 other grownups and it was quite apparent that the employee was totally annoyed that I brought the kiddos along! They had all sorts of questions and wanted to use a lot of different colors for their pottery - she was not thrilled to be bothered with the "interruptions" to what she was doing (painting her own pottery). If the kids giggled or spoke louder than a whisper we were given rude looks, as if we were supposed to follow library rules. A shame...my 5 and 7 year old truly enjoy painting but it's not worth it if they are not allowed to have fun while doing it. I took my three-year-old for the first time and she had a great time painting. The staff was very helpful and they know how to cater to both children and adults. It was a bit more expensive than I expected, but worth the fun evening with my daughter. My only knock on this experience has been the customer service since. I called to see if our pieces were finished yet and the person on the phone would not even check. He just told me I'd have to wait until tomorrow or next week. Seriously?! I'm not demanding to pick anything up early, either. If this is how they treat their customers after the sale I'm not sure I'll go back. more

I loved going here. I went with my mom a lot last year. It was just so fun to sit around and paint. The staff was very helpful and the whole enviorment was just really cool. I would recomend it for little kids, teens, or adults. more

Color Me Mine is a place to take the kids on a rainy or cold day. It's a ceramics studio where you pay for your piece and table time. You paint it and they will fire it in their kiln for you and you take it home. They are a bit pricey, but it has saved my house from destruction many times. They have a wide assortment of pottery pieces. It's a lot of fun and the kids have a blast too. I highly recommend it to my friends and they have found it to be just as wonderful. more
