Jerry Beck and family have reopened the restaurant and it is better than ever. We are so happy to have the neighborhood diner here again. The ice cream is second to none. But they are more than just an ice cream parlor. Seriously, there are delicious platters daily, like roasted turkey and filling every Wednesday. They offer the best soups...Hm-mmm...chicken corn, beef vegetable...Oh! Did I mention homemade root beer too? I love this "chainless" restaurant with its quality food at affordable prices. More than just ice cream! 10/19/2005

This is a great little ice cream parlor true, but what most people don't know is that they serve some of the best meals around this area. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with several specials each day. Hungry for turkey and stuffing; homemade meatloaf, chicken pie, you get the picture. The decor is charming and reminiscent of days gone by, the staff is friendly and parking is ample. Top off the meal with one of their signature sundaes named after the EMPLOYEES! more

Beck's Not Just Another Ice Cream Parlor 8/10/2005

This restaurant is York's best kept secret and I want to expose it! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with at least two daily specials. Homestyle cooking including baked chicken pie; meatloaf; turkey and stuffing with a great selection of side dishes. They also serve homemade mug root beer. After your meal treat yourself to one of their delicious sundaes named after the employees with all the ingredients listed on a bulletin board. more
