B&H rely on people who walk in without a clue and want to spend some money. The sales guys know little, they are rude and i have twice overhead ridiculous advice. Such as Q 'what shutter speeds does this camera have?' - 'All digital cameras have the same shutter speed' - this from an expert. If you're a pro then you probably know what you want but if you're not then i'd say don't go in there expecting good advice. more

They have the largest selection of specialty items, some of the deepest discounts of any photographic supply house, and some excellent right on customer service. My experience with them has always been pleasant. They know their stuff, and you can call them with questions which they will be happy to answer. Shipping is always fast, and the goods that I have received have always gotten here in the best of condition, which is important when considering optical equipment can be delicate. I also bought a Dimage Scan from them which is one of the most important pieces I've ever bought, considering it has scanned and repaired some of my more precious photographic memories that can not be replaced. B&H has great prices and great products and I would not hesitate to recommend them for hard to find optical equipment or great prices on everyday camera supplies. more

This is one of the best photo and camera store in the city (and one of the largest camera store in the country) that caters to professionals as well as "point-and-click" photographers. This camera superstore has everything from lenses to darkroom equipment. Prices are moderate for non-professional equipment and expensive (yet justified) for high-end professional equipment. Customer service is great. more

An experience in its own rite. Shopping at B&H Photo Video is quite fun. From helpful salespersons to watching what you just purchased dangling from the overhead conveyor belt on its way to the cashier. Their prices are a tad high compared to online, but knowing that you can walk back in should you need to return something is handy. They also develop pictures. more

B & H has always been my store to go to for digital cameras. The people there are very informative and friendly. They also sell video and computer equipment. If you are in the market for used items, they sell that also on the second floor. You will definitely find all you need in this store. more
