Love this place 9/1/2012

I am a mom of 3 ages 7,5,2 . We have had season membership at quassy since my oldest was 3 . Let me start by saying if you have older children 10 plus this is not a place for you ; of probably not a place for you.. The dry rides are geared toward younger children with the exception of the new roller coaster , bumper cars , and maybe 2 others. It's perfect for younger children it's small but big enough for them, my 7 year old feels great because he's allowed to go on rides alone and I can still see him and it's a perfect family atmosphere. You never wait on lines for rides , it's economical , you can bring your own cooler , there's also picnic areas to BBQ. The beach is great again water is never too deep so for the little ones who want to swim and play in the sand it's perfect and they have lounge chairs on the beach . The water park is awesome with slides , sprinklers and a saturation bucket it's awesome in the summer. My kids love it and I love it. It's comfortable , quiet , and great ... If you are looking for wild and crazy go to six flags .... But if you have little guys and are looking for a fun eventful day with a little peace you picked the right place ... My kids always say mom your the best for taking us to quassy .. Hope this was helpful more

Yipes! 3/28/2006

Quassy's hay-day was in the late 70's and early 80s. Then the carnival-quality rides with safety-pin construction would have almost been accepted. Now it's a little frightening- especially when you consider the punks that are put in charge of operating it. I have seen several instances where the operators aren't paying attention and the ride verges on malfunction. Several accidents have occured here- most of which were preventable if someone was paying attention. The arcade here is pretty nice. There is also a petting zoo and peddle boats. All in all, Quassy is pretty run down. But in the 80's it was my favorite place in the world. Too bad... more

more a carnival than an amusement park 9/7/2005

Quassy shouldn't really call itself an amusement park. It seems no different than your average roadside temporary carnival. It has a few rides and an arcade where a lot of the machines are usuall broken. The upside is that it is pretty cheap, but parking isn't. Look out for their special deals like 25 cent days and carload discounts. If you want to go to a real amusement park, you're better off taking the trip to Six Flags in MA. more

GREAT FAMILY FUN 9/5/2005

I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE SINCE I WAS A KID. IT IS A LITTLE RUNDOWN BUT WELL WORTH A VISIT. THERE ARE MANY RIDES FOR SMALLER CHILDREN. THERE IS AN INDOOR ARCADE WHERE KIDS CAN TRADE THEIR TICKETS FOR PRIZES. SATURATION STATION IS A NEWER AREA (NOT THERE WHEN I WAS A KID) WHERE KIDS CAN COOL OFF SPLASHING AROUND AND GOING DOWN THE SLIDE. THE FOOD CAN BE A LITTLE EXPENSIVE SO YOU MAY WANT TO BRING SOME SNACKS. VENDORS SELL FRIED DOUGH, PIZZA, COTTON CANDY, CANDY APPLES, ICE CREAM, SODA, ETC.. PARKING IS USUALLY $5.00 AND TICKETS ARE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. THEY HAVE SEVERAL SPECIALS THROUGH OUT THE SEASON LIKE $10.00 CARLOAD NIGHT. more

Not a great Amusement Park 8/21/2005

Quassy is more like a carnival. It is ok to go if you are close or would prefer a smaller amusement park but for most people there are better options. This place is pretty dirty and old. There are some decent rides and the typical carnival food. Overall I would recomend six flags over this place. Decent arcade. more

Awesome Family Getaway 8/21/2005

This is a great small amusement park for families, there is a lake for swimming, water rides, regular rides and kiddy rides. If your child is over 12 dont bother coming, this is for small children only. They have great special events and great food. Reasonably priced with all the classic amusement rides. This is a great local day trip for the family. more

Small but fun 8/20/2005

A small amusement park, with small being the operative word. No huge roller coasters here! There is a “mighty mouse” type roller coaster and a fairly big water slide, but other than that, you’re left with merry-go-round type rides, best suited for little kids. There is a lake right adjacent to the park with boats and whatnot which is nice. Food is widely available as are those rip-off carnival games. A fun place. more

Perfect Family Fun 8/13/2005

Quassy Amusement park is terrific for families. They have tons of rides and is perfect for summer camps too! Their latest attraction, Saturation Station, is a compliment to the park as it adds a way to get wet in the park featuring over 30 new attractions in this "station". And, what theme park would be complete without the usual bumper cars, roller coasters and fried dough! Quassy also has coupons and discounts which are offered throughout the season. During the summertime, it's a favorite spot for summer camps, so be prepared for a long wait for parking and attractions. Generally it costs a little less than $20 (without a discount admission ticket) for the rides, so it is very affordable for a day of fun. more

Tons of kiddie rides! 8/7/2005

Quassy is a lot of fun especially for little ones. The amusement park is full of 'older' rides. However, most of these rides are perfect for younger children and families. The park is smaller and therefore not as overwhelming as some of the bigger amusement parks. The rides while older and dirty are still fun for all. There is also a newer water area with things to climb and slide on within the water. There are several special deals such as quarter Fridays, where all rides cost a quarter after 5 pm on Fridays and $5 after 5 pm on Saturday nights. The bathrooms are disgusting, but the only negative part of the experience. more

Should Be Called Queasy! 7/15/2005

This park, although kind of small, has many rides which are suitable for younger children and an older crowd alike. The only downfall is that all the rides go in circles only and make you feel queasy after you get off. I would have to recommend that you go to a different park if you want more excitement, since Quassy doesn't offer any adrenaline rides. The park is very clean, though, as an upside. more
