Pastor Ken Fong has staked out a claim as the spokesman for Asian-American Christians in LA. He has written several books, speaks around the country, and was featured as a plenary speaker at Urbana 2000.
The church has recently begun to expand its vision to be more inclusive of non-Chinese and non-Japanese. There is more of a push to become a more welcoming church to people who don't fit the church's current tight demographics (upper-middle class 2nd-3rd generation Asian professionals).
The worship is lively for an Asian-American church, though it is pretty typical.
