I was shopping for a new sofa set a few months ago and decided to stop by Connollys after seeing yet another one of their 'family friendly' commercials. As they tell you in the commercial featuring different generations of connollys, the store has been family owned for many years, about 30 years or so. Unfortunately, there have been multiple accidental fires that the store has had to recover from, but they always come back. The image does appeal to the community-minded consumers. So, I was expecting a little more friendliness when I walked into Connollys. I received quite the opposite, no reaction at all. The employees ignored my party and went about doing their own thing. No 'Hello', no 'May I help you?' We were waiting for someone to help us with a sofa we were interested in, but we kept waiting around for 15 minutes before deciding to leave. Their showroom has a limited selection of sofa sets, I have seen better.
