Lousy customer service. Do not stand behind online advertising! 4/3/2012

I placed an order for KY Derby plastic plates. Other sites sold them in packs of 4 and derbyparties.com (caufield's owned company) had on their site "Eight plastic plates to a package", for the same price. It sounded like a great bargian! Just to be sure I placed a note on my order that the plates were advertised as being "Eight to a package". 2 hrs later I get a call telling me they are 4 to a package. I still had the page open on my computer that showed their site advertising "Eight". I opened a new page and saw that the same page (new window) had been changed to read "Four". I say "changed" because the same url took to to the same item but it now read 4. Because of the note I put on my order someone saw the error and corrected it before calling me! Fortunately I still had their old page up. I took actual pix of my computer monitor and emailed it to them. I was clear and easy to read and it showed the page with the "Eight". I was sure they would honor it bc it was no doubt on their site when I placed the order. NO! They said they can't honor it bc it doesn't show a date. I said, "I'm sorry if your webpage doesn't have a date on it" I asked if they think I opened this page 3 months ago when it read "Eight", left the page up but didn't place the order, then waited until they changed the site to read 4 just so I could pull off this great scam? I cannot believe that they DIDN'T honor what was clearly their own offer on their own site! Most places will stand by what they advertise just to keep good customer relations. Spoke with Sally initially and then Tracy" the "supervisor who had it in her ability to send me two 4-packs that would make the "Eight" advertised but flat-out refused to do so. You are welcome, Caufields! Glad I was able to point out your ERROR on your webpage! Thanks for nothing! more

Huge Selection 8/11/2005

Caufield's is a great place to go at Halloween time. They have the largest selection in town of costumes, novelty items, decorations and more. They have just as big a selection as the new Halloween stores and has a lot of things I've never seen at any other store in town. I love their displays showing all the fun ways your decorations can be used. They have fun stuff all year round too! The problem is sometimes it's hard to find parking downtown, but not so bad that you'll have to walk a long way with your purchases back to the car! more

Halloween costumes 8/11/2005

I have only been to Caufield's a few times, but they have the greatest selection of Halloween costumes and accessories that you can find in the Louisville area. They actually dedicate more than half of their store to Halloween come that time of year. The costumes range from baby/infant outfits to adult/plus size costumes. And they also carry any accessory you could need to go with the costumes. If you are looking for something particular this October, I would definitely give Caufield's a call. more

They've been in business a very long time and is a great fun place to visit. Whether your having a party, needing a costume or the latest fun gag this is the place to find it. They have a large selection of novelty costumes, supplies and such. You can have wild and crazy parties and buy all kinds of wacky things to impress your friends and family. If your looking for the ultimate is costumes for Halloween, you really need to go here. They have all the hottest mask and costumes available. They offer the higher quality and pricier mask of famous people, celebrities etc. Alway a favorite! more
