not worth it 4/14/2006

We broke down and went into this place after seeing it at the mall everytime we went as they make it look so neat out side, it is a great place to sit around and look at their restaraunt and I can see why kids love it, but the thing that sucked was their food! Very low quality of food, sometimes not much food at all and very pricey! Won't be back more

Don't go for the food 4/3/2006

If I would go here again, I would only go for a dessert so I wouldn't spend so much money on a meal. The food wasn't great (which for the price, one would think it would be gourmet). The only thing that made it worth while is the deco. To have lightening and thunder was cool and the kids enjoyed it but other than that I would pass. more

Too much hype 4/3/2006

I finally broke down and brought my kids here after years of them begging to go. Although the decor is neat and I can see how the atmosphere appeals to children, the food was not very good. No one in my family was happy with their order, so it wasn't just a case of me ordering the wrong thing. The prices were ridiculous! I was appalled that they get away with such blatant overcharging for such terrible food. I was really disappointed and so were the kids. We won't be making a return visit. more

Rainforest Cafe 3/31/2006

Rainforest Cafe is a really cool restaurant to take the kids to. They have thunderstorms with lightning and thunder and lots of different animals around the restaurant that come alive. I was not impressed with the food at all and the prices were a little high for me. My kids always like to stop by while were in the mall and look around, but we never eat there. Not a favorite of mine at all. more

Not impressed 3/29/2006

A few months ago my son and I went with my brother and his family to Rainforest Cafe. The food was very over priced and the quality was not worth the extra money. Ever couple of minutes there is a thunderstorm and there are animals hanging all around the room. It is interesting to look at, but gets a little annoying when you are trying to eat and an elephant scares you half to death when he starts his antics. more

Pricey Menu 3/28/2006

Good place to go if you want to entertain kids. However, if they are under the age of 4, I wouldn't recommend it because they tend to be scared of the animals. Not a very big food selection and is rather pricey for what you are getting. The food is mediocre at best. The service is average. more

Great food and surroundings 9/28/2005

But the service is abismal :( Expensive food that has improved greatly over the years but the staff are very slow and don't keep you updated witht he wait time. Considering this is a place designed to appeal to children you would think they would hurry things up. No one wants to have a room full of screaming hungry children. Great to look at and the food tastes good when you get it but in my opinion the wait is not worth it. more

my thoughts 8/3/2005

Rainforst Cafe is pretty good, for you and your family to go too. There are animals that come to life, every few minutes, they have live fish aquariums, and the food is pretty good, which is expensive but good. They also have gift shop right there, and also you can make a reservation for a birthday party. more

Editorial
  • In Short
While waiting for a table, hungry diners prowl the retail village, where cash-register ka-chings compete with chirping birds, roaring lions and chest-thumping gorillas. When the lights start to flicker, never fear--thunderstorms are part of the show. The menu is American comfort food--pastas, burgers, pizzas and salads--served with a tropical flair. There are plenty options that the kids will recognize, but enough novelty to keep the parents happy.
