When your kids are old enough to appreciate it, this is a great museum. If they are too young, they will be very bored. But if your child is interested in animals, they'll really enjoy themselves.
They have exhibits of "stuffed" animals from all the animal groups.
The Bean Museum has free nightly shows for the public. The topics are: Reptiles, Animal Adaptations, Birds, Snakes, Elephants, and Reptiles. You can also schedule private shows during the day.
Saturday Safaris (for a fee) are classes for children ages 5 to 10. They include lessons, crafts, snacks, and games.
There is also a small gift shop in the museum.
