A charming library with vintage flair! 4/10/2006

This is a Carnegie library and you can almost feel the history coming out of the woodwork from the moment you open the heavy wood doors. Modern conveniences include a coffee shop and computers with internet access, but old world charm abounds here! They have a great selection of books of all kinds, but we especially enjoy the children's section. The children's librarian is friendly and fun and my kids love to choose books here and play with the toys. A fun feature of the children's library is a big salt water aquarium in pristine condition, with lots of pretty fish! A fun family outing - with atmosphere! more

a lot of remodel done, especially in the lobby. theres good displays and they have a coffee stand inside. theres also on-street parking and a parking garage attached to the library. located just north of the downtown core its easy to find. standard collection of books and computers and materials, probably a little smaller than most libraries. Main con is there is always people hanging around outside, kids and bums and transients. Its located near a high school and bus stations so that doesn't help. more

Everett Public Library 8/19/2005

The Everett Public Library is fabulous! They've got an excellent collection, and the staff are wonderful. As the previous reviewer said, they've got a wide array of events and programs. The on-line catalogue, holds, and renewals are very convenient. The cafe attached to the library is nice touch. It has a very cozy feel to it, and regularly offers live music. I've recently started trying to organize a book-club, and was thrilled to discover that the library has all kinds of resources to help. more

Nice staff, lots of choices! 7/30/2005

My family has started going to this library almost every day! There are so many free programs including classes, fairs, concerts for the whole family. There is a great selection of everything...books, dvd's, cd's. We've gone crazy with dvd's and books on tape for our family. We use the website to put holds on items and they are available at our specific branch almost immediately. The kids especially love the discontinued books that are on sale for 50 cents. Their own personal libraries are expanding! We love it here! more
