I had a great experience shopping at Bloomingdale's Soho last week. The male staff member who helped me in ladies apparel was both pleasant and efficient during my time in the dressing room. I found it much easier to look at clothing here than in department stores uptown due to the exposure to natural light (the store is centered around one or two courtyards, so almost all floor areas have some natural light exposure). The selection isn't as large as 59th Street, but I was pleasantly surprised by it - I didn't feel overwhelmed as I sometimes feel in larger stores. I wish the shoe department had more to offer, though.
On another note, the bathroom was very clean and there was no line!
