They have a huge variety of plants which seem very healthy. If you are looking for a particular plant and you can't find it at Perinos, you will have a hard time finding it local...

Great for your Garden - Beautiful Christmas Trees 8/19/2005

It seems to be an annual tradition that we visit Perinos to check out their Christmas trees. They have absolutely the most beautiful selection of flocked Christmas trees. You will have to pay quite a price for the trees. The staff is very helpful with loading the tree into your vehicle. They also offer delivery. If you are looking for an impressive tree for your business and don’t want to drive from shady lot to shady lot - then Perinos is your first and last stop more

hardy plant center 7/27/2005

Shopping: Easy shopping with plants labeled as to what they are and where to plant them. Very helpful staff. A bit confusing on where to pay. Best & hardy plants in town. Atmosphere: Very spacious area outside for outdoor plants and a covered patio for the more tropical plants. Cute shop inside, but a bit overpriced. Location: Right off Vets near Causeway in Metairie. more

  • Perino's Home & Garden Center is a family-owned and operated plant nursery in Metairie, Louisiana. We were founded in 1949 by WWII veteran Salvador Sam Perino Sr. on the corner of Carrollton and Claiborne as a fruit market. In 1955, Perino's moved to its current location and began growing quality plant material 45 minutes away in the Covington area. The facility rapidly expanded to 300,000 square feet of heated greenhouse space and 10 acres of outdoor growing space with the help of the second generation. We strive to service the New Orleans area by providing the finest selection of quality, locally grown plants. Our Louisiana plant store is also a home goods store offering the highest quality furniture, home decor, clothing, and gifts.
