Nice Retail Area 8/20/2005

The Marketplace is nothing special, some food places and some places to buy some stuff like a dollar tree. The view of the river is probably the best part about this area, unless you are into the night life cause Jillian's is fun or the bar there. Located at Waterside it makes it more of a lucrative place to go rather than a regular commercial area. more

Waterside Marketplace 8/19/2005

The Waterside Marketplace is a fun place to go, but is nothing spectacular. There are several restaurants there to choose from, from the fast food places in the food court (mostly local, non-chain places) to sitdown places like the Outback and Diesel Pizza. There are a few shops in the marketplace, as well, including a small newspaper stand-type shop and a dollar store. The view from the upper deck of Waterside is fantastic, as it looks directly over the Elizabeth River. If you're looking for a great place to eat but aren't exactly sure what you want, try Waterside ... there's plenty to choose from, and you can do a bit of shopping while you're at it. more

OK Place 8/15/2005

We visitedthe Waterside to have lunch in the food court because it was close/. They had a nice selection of vendors with all cusines being represented in the food court with reasonable prices. A detraction was the loud and obtrusive piano player playing bad music loudly on an a cheap electric piano. It was hard to sit there and relax and eat my lunch. He did not add to the atmosphere. more

Tons of things to do on Norfolk's Waterfront! 7/24/2005

Waterside has been a staple of the Norfolk area for years. They have tons of great restaurants and bars, and lots of nice local shops inside. The building is located right on the water, and you can see beautiful views of the Chesapeake Bay. Waterside is a great spot for nightlife and shopping, and is an important part of this area's significance in becoming a larger metropolitan city. more
