I have another vet that I frequent, but when he's not open, this is where I come. I feel at times they are a little more expensive than some in the area, but it depends on what you're having done really for that to be a fair statement.
They charge an office visit fee like most do, plus whatever work you have done. They have several vets here (3), so you may not always get the same one unless you request them specifically.
They all seem to be nice & to really know their stuff, but as for bedside manner, I like the newest vet Dr. Swafford the most. She's DEFINITELY an animal lover. I knew she was good when she started talking baby talk to my kitty while she was examining him, and he turned into a pile of jello because she relaxed him with her easy nature.
She also cut thru all the hype & tried to give me the info I needed to know in language I could understand. Besides that she did what she could to save me money on meds for him by telling me what I really needed & not trying to sell me every little thing they had. I really appreciated that too, but her bedside manner is what really had me sold.
We all hope that our 'babies' will be treated with the same loving care that we give them at home & she gave me that confidence. She's been out of vet school for only a year, but this lady will have a huge clientèle in no time, based on my experience with her.
