DJ Schim Rules 2/11/2003

I went here with my girlfriend and a few friends on a wednesday night... the atmosphere was very chill and the place wasn't too crowded. The music was a mix of techno and upbeat dance stuff. The most memorable part was when I got my girlfriend to dance with me... we were the only people on the floor, but the DJ started playing cool dance music for us, and pretty soon, half the people in the place were up there dancing with us. Great Spot, Great Location 2/3/2003

This place is great... stylish and fun bar/lounge w/o the attitude... it sports both a good bar area for drinking and relaxing couchs for those who wish to lounge.. all in a relatively small space... it really makes for a great ambiance.. Plus.. there are a bunch of places near by.. you can cram your whole night into a two block radius.. Pros: Location, Atmosphere Cons: So, So DJs more

Not worth it 1/28/2003

I have no idea what all these reviewers are talking about. The few times I've been there, the crowd has been incredibly small (under 10 people) and/or pathetic (desperate guys, etc). The DJs aren't good, either (especially the ones on Wednesday nights), but what do you expect at a place that's out of the way and that no one has heard of? The only good thing about this place is that the drinks are usually stiff and not particularly expensive ($6 mixed drinks). Don't waste your time with this place. Pros: never crowded, strong drinks Cons: bad DJs, out of the way, lame crowd more

I even ended up dancing on the bar! (must have been those free 1st drink kamikaze shots) I suggest Casanovas to anyone who wants to have a good time without the hassle of big nightclub drama! p.s My friends all agree (guys and girls) the bartenders are HOT and make a mean martini! We'll definitely be going back. more

Couldn't be more wrong! 8/22/2002

I think that the last reviewer is so wrong about this lounge. I ended up trying it out on a reccomendation. Liked the bartender, she was super nice (didn't even notice how many drinks I had!) I definitely was busy cause I got the last bar stool in the house. The food was awesome...I would definitely go back again! I pass the torch on the all others, enjoy this little hideaway! Pros: moderately priced, nice crowd more

AWESOME SPOT!! 7/14/2002

My friends and I were walking w/ no particular destination this weekend. We found ourselves parked on the VERY comfortable sofa! The staff was super nice. We were only going to have 1 round, but the hospitality was great and we ended up having 4 rounds and dinner! We ended up staying until the party started. The DJ was great...FYI I ended up having my b-day party there! I would DEFINITELY reccomend this east village hideaway to anyone! Pros: moderately priced, great staff, excellent decor more
