Our daughter got married on Saturday, January 19, 2013 and we held the reception at the Governors Club. First of all, the venue is located in a stunning setting in an upscale golf course community. All through the planning process, our main contact, Lisa Johnson, Director of Sales and Catering at the Governors Club, was a pleasure to deal with. After we agreed on the format and signed a contract, Lisa and the chef went out of their way to make changes to accommodate our needs.\r
In the final week before the wedding (in spite of Lisa coming down with the flu), significant changes were made to accommodate the size of our reception due to a higher than expected invitation acceptance rate. When the big night arrived, the presentation, food and service were wonderful. All of our guests went out of their way to say what a nice reception it was and how good the food was.\r
In summary, the actual reception exceeded our expectations, which were already very high.
