Chapin is overall a very nice beach. The low tide is breathtaking, with sand and more sand. You had better be in the mood for a little hike if you want to get to the water during low tide. However, during high tide it's difficult to navigate your way into the water. The beach is covered with sharp and barnicle covered rocks. There is also some very unexpected things, such as asphalt and concrete, in with the rocks, so make sure to have something on your feet when going in. The cars that drive on the beach can be slightly annoying, so stear clear of the left side of the beach if you're not into watching cars drive around all day. Overall, this beach is amazing despite the inconvenience of the rocks and cars. Sunset is incredible during low tide as well.
