Best

India Palace in Woodbury is a total hidden treasure. It offers an amazing, reasonably priced buffet along with many spectacular menu choices, like our favorite ~ chicken mushroom!...

Worst

I was not impressed. We ordered for pick up and the food was much smaller portions than I was use to. We got home and there was hair in the food. It is nice to have Indian food...

NOT TOO GOOD 7/1/2009

I EAT OUT NEARLY EVERYDAY AND LIKE TO TRY NEW RESTARAUNTS. GOT WORD THIS WAS GOOD. TRIED IT. NOT GOOD IN MY OPINION. MY FAVORITE PLACE IS ATLANTIC BUFFET IN BLOOMINGTON. TAKE THE EXTRA TIME TO DRIVE THERE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, GUARANTEED. Pros: GOOD SERVICE Cons: EVERYTHING IS BLAND more

Not worth it 2/15/2008

I was not impressed. We ordered for pick up and the food was much smaller portions than I was use to. We got home and there was hair in the food. It is nice to have Indian food in the area, but I will take the drive next time. more

A hidden treasure in Woodbury! 7/21/2007

India Palace in Woodbury is a total hidden treasure. It offers an amazing, reasonably priced buffet along with many spectacular menu choices, like our favorite ~ chicken mushroom! We are a family of 6 and from our 5 year old to our 15 year old; India Palace is loved by all. The servers there are kind and courteous and pay special attention to the younger kids in the group. They are also willing to give an opinion, if you request it and we've found many of their recommendations to be right on the money! I'd give this 6 stars if I could and guarantee anyone who tries it, will be craving it again and again. Pros: Chicken Mushroom & The Staff~ Cons: I'd love delivery service! more

Indian food as good as any in my Indian neighborhood in NYC 6/20/2007

Until just a few years ago I lived in an Indian neighborhood in NYC - I've been to superb Indian restaurants, and I would rank the food here with the best I had in New York City. They will make it as spicy or as mild as you want, the service is solicitous and friendly, the ambience is comfortable and good for family dining. If you are new to Indian cuisine, by all means try to lunch buffet, but, do go on the weekend when there are more selections.\r I'm not a vegetarian, but I love the vegetarian selections here, and the breads are wonderful. I generally avoid desserts at Indian restaurants, they tend to be too sweet, but try kulfi (Indian ice cream) if they have it.\r I would have given India Palace 5 stars, but, they do not deliver, and they do not have South Indian foods as well. India is a large and diverse country, with many different cuisines - I'd love to find a place where I can get foods from the south as well. Pros: Convenient parking Cons: A bit far from the cities, no delivery service more

Best Indian food in the Twin Cities 2/7/2006

My husband and I have been going to India Palace for more than four years. We often invite others to join us there and everyone (even those who dont like spicy food) always walks away happy. The onion bhajia are great appetizers, and my favorite meals are Malai Kofta and Chicken Tikka Masala. The Rosmalai is a wonderful sweet dairy dessert. The place is clean, the service is great, and they've really added some nice touches to their decor. Pros: reasonably priced, comfortable with kids, great service more

""The Golden Dome"" 1/2/2006

My wife and I have been dinning @ India Palace since it opened , prior to our last daughters birth . I've heard of cravings...but my wife required the Twin Cities finest Shrimp Tika Masala ! Nothing less would do !! We have eaten fine Indian Cuisine in our travels as well as our many overseas postings.... foods range in texture, aroma, chemical and physical temperature and taste !! But we have never eaten in any Twin Cities Indian Restaurant where the product is as consistent in quality , (NOT Chix.Parts..ONLY the White meat )and the service is quick and courteous, food is delivered HOT, and the interest in your opinion of the product is genuinely desired . Food is Fabulous,Staff is the best ,Mr.Singh(Owner) is a gentleman !! (We recently shipped the Chicken Tika Masala (2 orders) to our Daughter in Denver..her request) Pros: Sauces(Masala), Naan(Onion), Daal Cons: No home delivery, Not actually a Palace more

As you like it. 1/14/2003

I eat at Indian Palace-Woodbury at least once a week. The lunch buffets are a good and safe choice for beginners. The spicing isn't as heavy as many of the Indian restaurants I enjoyed in Chicago, but I love the food nevertheless. The onion bhajia's are an excellent way to start a meal or try their appetizer platter for variety. The Peshawari and Keema naan's are served hot and savory. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Makhani, and Shahi Korma are excellent when you request them spicy. Ask for Saby... he knows how you want it served. I've yet to meet a vegetable entree' I didn't like, and don't leave without trying the Gulab Jamun heavy on the cardamom. The ambience is clean and moderately elegant (considering it's in a strip mall) and cloth napkins and tablecloths in the evening. Don't forget to order a Taj Mahal lager. Pros: Tasty dishes, Good variety, Friendly staff Cons: Not spicy enough, More cardamom please, Never enough for me more

Super yummy!!! 8/7/2002

The Basmati rice entrees at the back of the menu are extremely flavorful. Reheated leftovers are terrific, too! I think I need to stop by after work. Just thinking about it is making me hungry! If you go for dinner, be sure to try a Lassi and something off the appetizer menu. If you go for the buffet, try a little of everything. I was very impressed with the quality of the lunch buffet. more
