The selection of materials to work with was awful and very limited. The clothes being sold were pretty bad. The place was a total disappointment.
Pink Project Young and kicky owner Sarah Davis opened this interactive clothing design studio as a place for glamour girls to play while getting their creative groove on. The stereo purrs, the walls are swathed in silky, shiny fabrics and what you make is up to you. Drop by on a weekend afternoon, paw through the boxes of fabrics and racks of vintage clothing and grab some accoutrements (ribbons, trims, feathers, fabric paint). Now go crazy: A unitard becomes a halter with a men's tie holding it all together. Jeans become a skirt with pink suede fringe. Can't sew? Leave it for them to finish and pick it up later. Pink Party Friday nights, the ironing board turns into a bar and the chicest creations from the weekend workshops are on display. If your duds are picked for the show, they're yours to keep.
