NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR THE STOMACH ACHE 11/25/2010

We ate the Thanksgiving buffet here today and it was by far the WORST food We have ever eaten at a restaurant or Buffet! The quality of the food was about as poor as you could possibly get! The chocolate cake did not even taste anything like chocolate! It tasted like some kind of cheap coco powder mixed with alcohol. They even made the ganache toping with coco powder as well...oh it was BAD! The pumpkin pie did not taste anything like pumpkin, it was unrecognizable in flavor! My husband will eat anything that ends in the word pie and he couldn't even eat this. The sushi was warm...not just Luke warm but actually WARM! It was also so loose that it fell apart on my plate. They burned the bread in the stuffing which mostly consisted of raisins and little bits of burnt bread. They had this pumpkin soup that was just horrible! It was heavily over spiced with a strange mix of spices and just inedible. The store bought cookies were dry as a bone! and so were the store bought rolls! They had some kind of meat with this horrible sorta sweet sorta sour sauce on it that was sooo nasty that I could not even swallow it. The only thing I could choke down was the turkey, mashed potatoes and ham. They did have cold, out of the box Kraft mac and cheese on the kid table that my husband found somewhat edible. But when you pay $37 for a meal you kind of expect the food to at least be edible! When you walk into the dated and strangely decorated restaurant it is easy to miss the nice view out the window because you are too busy trying to squeeze passed all the people and chairs in the over packed dinning area. The booth seats were the WORST! You sink in about 5 inches when you sit down at the tables. my husband looked like a little kid with the table coming up to his neck, and he is 6 feet tall. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy ! more

The worst buffet I have ever been too! 11/25/2010

NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL!! 4/21/2008

This was supposed to be fine dining but unfortunately a far cry from it. The best part of the meal was the Spainish wine, and the bread. The duck duo was all fat with a good tasting sauce for $37 the waiter\r just laughed andsaid the duck was just obese. The saladthat was ordered alla cart for $7 had no more than three sprigs of lettuce and a sliver of cucumber wendy's gives more for a dollar with betterr service. Wish there was better to say after spending $150 for a dinner for two. Left hungry, and dissapointed. Pros: GOOD BREAD Cons: NOTHING WAS GOOD BUT THE BREAD more

Good but not great 7/18/2006

The drive up Little Cottonwood is fun and adds almost an activity to the evening in and of itself. We spent an entire evening here. I had heard that it was a good idea to make reservations. It was not neccassary. It was 8:00 on a Friday night. Maybe July is not its peak season. The staff was freindly and seemed knowledgable. The food was good if maybe a little too much spice, sweetness etc (it could have been dumbed down a smidge). They need to hire an interior decorator quick. If I am spending that kind of money than I expect an all around experience. The South western print on some of the furniture did not go with the cheap asian theme that they were trying for. Lets not forget this is a lodge. Over all I enjoyed the evening but I know of better at the same cost. Pros: Nice drive Cons: Food is average more

eating the view? 7/9/2004

The view here is spectacular - no other restaurant in Utah commands this mountain vista - sooooo - are you there for the food or the view? The sunday brunch buffet is ordinary at best - too much emphasis on sushi and ""waffles"" - with so-so desserts. There are much better places to spend your money if the quality of the food is your primary concern. Pros: view Cons: , ordinary food more

Upscale bar 5/16/2002

This lounge has a decidedly upscale feel. The area is open and had the same incredible views as the restaurant. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders are happy to tend to your drinking needs. Pros: Great views Cons: Pricey more

Stunning view 5/16/2002

This restaurant had excellent food, and you'll pay for it. But the best thing about this mountainn-lodge restaurant is the stunning view of the mountain. Great for a romantic meal. Pros: Stunning view, Great food Cons: Expensive more
