Sitting outside on the deck, enjoying a beer, watching the St Croix river, eating appetizers or having dinner at Pier 500 - a perfect summer evening. The menu is nicely priced, with a good variety of choices - from your classic soups, salads and sandwiches to other good choices like pasta and steaks. The artichoke spinach dip is better than most, lobster mac and cheese is a nice twist on the old standby, parmesan chicken breast was nicely done. \r
Wait staff is well trained and very attentive without hovering over your shoulder. Prices are fair, beer and wine choices are plenty.\r
The only problem is restaurant is so popular - because it is a good choice - the wait can be an hour or more on weekends. \r
No worries on taking a date or a bunch of friends to Pier 500, we have never been dissapointed.
Pros: Food and service are great
Cons: Very busy on weekends
